TToT

This TToT is a bit disjointed, but bare with me and I will recoup soon….

The new girls have grown a lot in a week.

I don’t understand how Dyanne’s Aunt Daisy could have possibly kept a full-grown chicken in the house. They are pooping MACHINES!

unnamed (12) It is pretty, but …It’s still snowing. We are expecting a few inches …

HAPPY SPRING!

unnamed (11) unnamed (13) shaking it off!

made zucchini bread and Irish soda bread  (photo isn’t mine!) bread2

I’m really tired, over-stressed, and grateful for the ability to take some time off. So I’m working this weekend and then off for a week. unnamed-42 To the water…

I’ve been able to cancel a previously scheduled, fairly invasive, medical procedure later next week… and for the first time since December, it’s not because of Massachusetts’ refusal to acknowledge me as an insured citizen*.

'You need to slow down.'

*I am working on the letter writing, but I’m not kidding about the stress thing… I’m just not sure if I can deal with any more… so I’m taking my time. Believe me if the Senate can’t even pass a bill that says human trafficking is bad (Yeah, it’s true,)  they aren’t getting me or anyone else insurance any time soon.

A touch of SPRING… despite snow, ice, freezing rain, c-c-c-cold…unnamed (16)

unnamed (17) My friend couldn’t understand why her daughter thought her dolls were creepy… I think I may have convinced her… especially the Stepford twins up there!

The virgins let me off the hook this week with rule 5.6 subsection 3f , that says “if the TToTer is burnt to the point of crispy she should ‘stick a fork in it and call it a day.'”

  1. I can’t wait for you to head to the water, I know it will work wonders to restore your soul and what’s left of your sanity from all that has transpired as of late! I send prayers for peaceful energy and light to surround you.

Love the baby chickens and the paw prints in the snow. Not loving the snow for you anymore – it’s Christmas card beautiful, but Christmas is over, wanting a heat wave to send that stuff into the ground for you.

That’s such a beautiful spiral rug you’ve created – very 60’s, and the bread sounds yum, and makes the house smell so very good while it is baking. Lord, I haven’t baked bread in forever, I need to do that for Papa Bear!

Praising God for a break from the next procedure, time at the ocean sounds much, MUCH more fun! Any breaks you can get are a blessing.

You must take a few pictures at the ocean to share with us, so we can join you there, at least in our dreams! XOXO

  2. How the heck is Josie in there FRIST???
Hooray for moving a nasty procedure and get some time away near the water. I’m with you on the stress thing and taking things slow. If the process is going to push you over the edge, take a step back.
It was absolutely delightful to chat with you and the others tonight. Stepped way outside my box on that one.
I haven’t made zucchini bread in forever, but I may be doing banana bread because Zilla keeps asking for bananas at the market and every week I end up with uneaten bananas. Come on, kid!
    Daffodils are my favorite. Truly.
I love that Doug does selfies. My cats don’t do that. Dumb. One of them does write poetry, though.
    Huge hugs.

  3. Fascinating. You and I have used much the same imagery and I did NOT come over here and read this first. Just goes to show, clark, we are one.

    Water. Life. BREATH. Soul.

I hope it does you ALL the good.

Well done for the letter. And ACK at the prognosis for it. *sigh*

    *hugs*

It was LOVELY to see you on vidchat last night.

      1. Ack common ground sucks when it’s swampy and filled with briars. Hope your weekend (such as is left of it) proves relaxing and as stress free as possible. *hugs*

  4. The beach will heal it all. Nice putting the Senate’s laborious machinations in perspective. I think your edgy sense of humor is back, so that is great. Love Doug’s selfie – maybe he needs a selfie stick, ya know? Have fun at the beach; I’ll be thinking of you.

    1. without opposable digits he will always have a photo of the stick as he may have to put it in his teeth…. ooo oooo we could attach it to a headband kinda like a donkey with a carrot! Thanks, Val… I am looking forward to the getting away part.

  5. Doug takes a mean selfie. Of course when you’re that cute how can you go wrong, whether taking it with paw or nose? I feel terrible about all you’re going through trying to get yourself insured. If and when you do write the letter, or organize a letter writing campaign please count me in. I hope your time at the beach relaxes and rejuvenates you.

  6. I just wrote a “Hey, this is ridiculous!” letter to Waste Management this past week, so I’m warming up for your very important letter-writing campaign. I think that all of us together will create the written equivalent of a filibuster!

Have a nice time at the water! Will we see selfies of Doug on the beach, or is he staying home to help hold down the fort?

    1. I was going to take Doug but then I realized I need a full break from my dementia doggy too, so I can sleep a bit more as well… I will miss him, but am secure in the knowledge he will be with my neighbors who treat him like a king.

  7. hey! that might be the influence of that new Guard Virgin (or her brother…Elmore)….she’s been quite a modernizing influence on that er…. well-established institution….. (or as the lyric in today’s song, “she’s was credit to her gender”)
    love the dog-walking-on-water photo

  8. Love the upcycled blanket. Maybe I should simply cut up all the kids’ outgrown clothes I can’t sell and make a big one of these 🙂 Is Mr. Doug indeed taking those selfies himself?? Absolutely adorable!! I hope you will be able to relax on the water, you definitely deserve it! And again, thank you so, so much for those beautiful pendants!!

    1. Old t-shirts work great too! Its a lot like a quilt with scraps…anything works. You are welcome! I am so glad you requested them … I am flattered that you liked them so much!

  9. My daffodils popped out while I was gone last week. I’m going to bring some in and enjoy them inside. If I can find a place to put them that Ruby will leave alone, that is.
I don’t like the sound of an invasive medical procedure, even a postponed one, but I hope spending days by the water will take your mind off of it and many other unpleasant things. Is Doug going with you?

  10. I expect I’m asking for something that will be hard for you to perform, but please don’t hesitate to ask if there is something I can do. Boo, snow. Yay, Spring!
