Resting Place

Along the edge of the water she lie waiting for discovery like some waitress cum actress. Her mere presence ruined the serenity of what was once a sanctuary. It was ironic in some ways to find her lying among the tall rushes.Through centuries the rushes have had purpose to make and build, create so many things. This was destruction. There was no purpose in this.

  1. Wow! VERY creative! It was unexpected. I envisioned something so much different with the prompt of “rush.” It is amazing! It will be so super awesome to see what others come up with! Thank you for hosting! I saw this on Josie’s page last year & was bummed I had barely missed out on it. I’ve been lurking, looking for when or if it would start again & in which capacity. 😉

  2. This is going to be a fun link up. I didn’t think of the kind of rushes that grow. And of course, I would love to know how her body came to rest there. Thanks for hosting.

  5. Oooh, you went a whole different way! Nice!
I hate that I didn’t join in this week. Between the scratching and the last week of school activities, my brain just wasn’t coming up with anything. I’m so glad there have been so many people jumping in. They have been fun to read.

  6. I love this and I’m delighted so many people jumped in! I particularly love that you went with rush as a noun – that’s the first place my head went. Great minds, eh?
As for Hemingway’s six words, Eli Pacheco at Coach Daddy has a six words post every month where bloggers respond to a prompt in six words. It’s awesome.
