It is through this mysterious power that we too have our being, and we therefore yield to our neighbors, even to our animal neighbors, the same right as ourselves to inhabit this vast land.

  1. Tom Selleck, Sam Elliot and now Doug joins the ranks of the most handsome mustachioed males on the planet. I like that focus meme and the way you set up the whole post.

  2. Wonderful! Great job, dear Doug! As I’m going to be 64 this fall, I hope to be hopeful and still grateful…and I imagine Stella will still need me 🙂 God bless you today, Ivy–you’re my heroine!

      1. curiosity killed the cat and they have nine lives! But I will humor the question…. I was thinking 40s to early 50s… maybe I was just thinking my own 53…

  3. Wonderful life lessons from the wisest old man I know! The blessing you two are to each other warms my heart, and there’s not a day that a Doug photo update doesn’t make me smile. We can definitely learn from our furkids to keep it simple, and take it easy… and naps, lots of naps! XOXO

  4. This is the first thing I read this morning Ivy. Thank you!
As you know, I’ve read pretty much nothing, written nothing in a very long time. This post, it’s all I need today. The smile remains 🙂
    Long live the Skipster/Dougmeister!

  5. Haha…I really love Doug! He’s got so much personality and “tells it like it is.” Haha. I also love all your photo illustrations and thought bubbles. Brilliant!

  6. Though I’ve lost my looks from age 40-50, I’ve gained much wisdom–thus, my 60s look promising in some regards 🙂 This will likely be my last comment from “muse”–so I’m hoping you’ll get back to me about what country you thought I was in–over at Stella’s place! 🙂 Byeeeeee 🙂
